Fallen or collapsed arches. Flat feet. Pes valgus. Hyper-pronated foot.
A foot which that has reduced height of arch along the underside of the instep (medial arch). Can be a precursor to many painful syndromes due to altered foot and lower limb mechanics and reduced force absorption. For example, plantar fasciitis, metatarsalgia, ankle pain and knee pain. Characterised by a visibly “flattened” foot on weight-bearing.
